Zach Bryan, the country music sensation, expressed profound gratitude to his musical inspiration, Bruce Springsteen, following their collaboration on Bryan’s latest album release. The album, titled ‘The Great American Bar Scene,’ was unveiled on July 4th and features Springsteen on the track “Sandpaper.”
In a social media post, Bryan shared his excitement and appreciation, “Thank you for the day @springsteen. Thank you for your kind words. Thank you for letting me take this picture,” accompanying it with a photo of The Boss himself. He added, “Thank you for making my whole life a dream of a younger me. A reason to believe.”
The album, which spans 19 tracks including 18 songs and a poem, prominently showcases the track “Sandpaper.” This song echoes the rhythmic pattern of Springsteen’s 1984 hit, “I’m on Fire,” providing fans a nostalgic yet fresh musical experience.
Highlights from the album also include the songs “Pink Skies” and “Purple Gas,” with the entire album set for a special double vinyl release on October 10. Following the launch, fellow musician John Mayer, who appears on the track “Better Days,” praised the album’s depth and emotional resonance on social media.
In his post, Mayer remarked, “I always knew this song Zach wrote was special. I had no idea how beautiful, powerful, and deep an album it would be a part of. I’m stunned.”
Bryan is currently headlining his Quittin Time Tour, featuring notable artists such as Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, and The War & Treaty as opening acts.
