The Hollywood Vampires are rearranging several American performances as Johnny Depp recovers from an unfortunate ankle fracture. The rock supergroup, comprising Depp, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, announced the actor’s injury and the postponement of three East Coast concerts initially scheduled for this week through an Instagram post on Monday, May 29.
The group disclosed in their post that Depp had suffered a painful ankle injury after recent public appearances and that his medical advisor has cautioned him against traveling. The Hollywood Vampires further noted that Depp is deeply upset by this unexpected event but anticipates resting for an optimal recovery, ensuring the four Vampires deliver their absolute best for their upcoming European tour.
The rescheduled concerts, which were set to take place in Boston; Manchester, N.H., and Bethel, N.Y., will now be held on July 28, 29, and 30 respectively. All previously purchased tickets will be honored on these new dates.
The Hollywood Vampires’ international tour kicks off on June 8 at Romexpo in Bucharest, Romania, continuing across Europe and the United Kingdom until late July.
Depp also shared details of his ankle injury in an Instagram Story post on Monday, May 29. He explained, “Initially, it was a hairline fracture, but it worsened during my travels from Cannes to Royal Albert Hall,” referring to the Cannes Film Festival and a tribute concert to Jeff Beck. “Multiple medical experts strongly advised against any physical activity at present, which unfortunately makes it impossible for me to travel.”
