Taylor Swift took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to not only perform but also to make a major announcement. The “Mean” singer announced that her next album will be out in 2022 and that it’s called “Midnights.” She also treated fans to a performance of her new song, “All Too Well.” The VMAs have been a big night for Taylor in the past – she’s taken home seven Moonmen, including the coveted Video of the Year award for “Bad Blood” in 2015.
And while she didn’t win any awards this year, her speech – which focused on the importance of female friendships and empowerment – was one of the evening’s most memorable moments. Taylor has come a long way since her first VMA performance in 2009, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
