The band fired back, saying they “did not authorize or condone” its use and that the government “missed the point entirely.” Given that the last time Semisonic was relevant, flip phones were cutting-edge, this could’ve been a rare moment of positive exposure—too bad they had to spend it shutting down political nonsense.
