Static live magazine would like to introduce you to local artist Jayna Hinton. Jayna is a student at Spruce Creek high school and has been drawing since her early childhood. As you can see she takes her time when creating these wonderful pieces using what seems to be a dying medium using just charcoal. When asked about using charcoal she replied.
“I love the use of charcoal to capture the deep values in my pieces. I am trying to add elements of color in my work to help bring out surrealism in my work”
She also went on to say “My main objective is to show people the artwork that High School students can make and try to get more people to help with raise money for the art fund at schools as it’s so let limited these days. There no doubt that there is a bright future for this amazing talent and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
