As any fan of Bruce Springsteen knows, the New Jersey rocker is no stranger to controversy. His latest dust-up surrounds the sky-high prices of tickets to his upcoming Broadway show. Thanks to exorbitant fees charged by Ticketmaster, some fans are being asked to pay as much as $5,000 for a single ticket. Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau has come out swinging, calling the fees “greedy” and “disgusting.” While it’s true that prices for top performers can be expensive, fans are rightly outraged at being asked to fork over such a large amount of money just to see The Boss in concert. In an era when ticket prices are already through the roof, it’s time for artists like Springsteen to take a stand and fight back against greedy ticketing companies. Only then will fans be able to afford to see their favorite performers live.
