Taylor Swift has unveiled an exclusive sneak peek into her upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” with a special partnership with Target. Fans of Swift have the opportunity to secure their copy ahead of its release through a Target-exclusive vinyl edition, now available for preorder.
In a reveal that sparked excitement across her social media platforms on April 14, Swift shared an intriguing image of herself, creatively showcasing the vinyl with one eye peering through its transparent center. Accompanying the image was a tantalizing caption, possibly teasing lyrics from the forthcoming album: “I wish I could un-recall how we almost had it all.”
While Swift has maintained the suspense by not dropping any tracks from the album yet, this line suggests fans are in for a deep, reflective journey when “The Tortured Poets Department” officially drops on April 19.
Swift’s partnership with Target introduces the album in a “phantom clear vinyl” format, promising a unique collector’s item for Swifties. Besides the exclusive vinyl, Target is also offering collectible CD versions of the album. These include all four variations previously announced by Swift, each containing a distinct bonus track named “The Manuscript,” “The Bolter,” “The Albatross,” or “The Black Dog.” The CDs boast 16 tracks from the standard album plus one additional song, encased in a single jewel case with special cover art, a 20-page booklet filled with lyrics and photos, and one of four collectible 10” x 10” double-sided posters.
Amid the anticipation for the album, Swift was also spotted enjoying the first weekend of Coachella 2024 with her boyfriend Travis Kelce. The couple was seen immersing themselves in the festival atmosphere, supporting Swift’s friends and performers of the night, Jack Antonoff with Bleachers, and Ice Spice.
For those eager to dive into Swift’s latest musical venture, the Target exclusive and more can be preordered at Target.com, ensuring fans have their copies of “The Tortured Poets Department” as soon as it’s released.
