The Prince of Darkness is calling it quits… on his terms.
Ozzy Osbourne has spent the last 50+ years defying the laws of mortality, common sense, and basic human endurance. Now, at 76, the metal icon has admitted he literally can’t walk—but he’s still got one last trick up his studded leather sleeve. In July 2025, the Prince of Darkness will take the stage for the final time in his hometown of Birmingham, England, with a lineup so stacked it might just summon the apocalypse.
“I Can’t Walk, But I’m Still Alive”
Speaking on his SiriusXM show, Ozzy’s Boneyard, the Black Sabbath frontman got real about his health struggles, admitting, “I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”
In classic Ozzy fashion, he turned a grim reality into a moment of reflection, adding, “I may be moaning that I can’t walk, but I look down the road, and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”
Translation? He’s still here. He’s still fighting. And he’s still ready to melt some faces one last time.
The Final Show: “Back to the Beginning”
On July 5, 2025, Ozzy will take the stage for the last time in Birmingham, England, where it all began. And because this isn’t just any farewell show, he’s bringing some of the biggest names in metal history to send him off properly:
🔥 Black Sabbath (yes, the OG lineup—first time since 2005)
🔥 Metallica
🔥 Slayer
🔥 Anthrax
🔥 Pantera
🔥 Lamb Of God
🔥 Mastodon
🔥 Alice In Chains
🔥 Halestorm
🔥 Gojira
And, because the metal gods demand it, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) will be the musical director for the event, calling it “the greatest heavy metal show ever.”
Yeah. No arguments here.
One Last Shout at the Devil
Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s disease—which he was diagnosed with in 2019—has made touring impossible, but his voice is still as strong as ever. According to Sharon Osbourne, this final show is his way of saying goodbye the right way.
“Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there’s been no full stop. This is his full stop.”
The event will also raise money for Cure Parkinson’s, a UK-based charity dedicated to fighting the disease. So not only will fans get to witness history, but they’ll also be supporting an incredible cause.
The End of an Era… Kind Of?
Look, Ozzy has technically retired before. This guy has survived rabies, a near-fatal ATV crash, decades of hard living, and an actual bat incident. So, will this really be the last time we see him on stage? Maybe. Maybe not. But one thing is certain:
If this is the end, it’s one hell of a way to go out.
