The co creator of Woodstock music festival Michael Lang has passed at aged 77. Lang was raised in Brooklyn and attended college in New York City before becoming a concert promoter in the late 1960s. The first event he put together was the 1968 Miami Pop Festival, which featured Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and John Lee Hooker, among other acts of the era. His legacy of the Woodstock festival will go down as one of the largest and most peaceful music shows of all time.
