In a strange twist of fan interaction, Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) found himself fulfilling a fan’s bizarre request during his recent set at the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium. A fan, who had traveled from Mexico, had an unusual wish – to receive a punch from the “Bloody Valentine” singer himself.
A video making rounds on social media shows MGK puzzled by a fan sign that read, “I just came from Mexico for you to punch me.” With an air of bemusement, the rock star asked the fan, “Why do you want me to punch you in the face so badly?”
As the fan declared his love for the singer, MGK contemplated his dilemma, “I got rings on, dude, that’s going to hurt. I don’t know, it’s a lose/lose for me. I don’t know if I’m going to do it. I’ll consider it.”
However, after performing “My Ex’s Best Friend,” the 33-year-old rocker decided to grant the fan’s peculiar request. In a bizarre display of affection, MGK walked up to the fan in the front row, delivered a quick punch to his cheek, and then softened the strange interaction by shouting, “I love you!”
