JoJo Siwa, beloved entertainer and singer of the hit single “Karma,” recently found herself in the hot seat as the latest victim of an elaborate prank on the revamped Punk You show. Known for catching celebrities off guard with its cleverly orchestrated pranks, this time JoJo was caught in a hilarious identity theft scenario.
In the newly released 11-minute episode, Siwa is shown sitting in the back of an SUV when her driver is suddenly pulled over by a man posing as an FBI agent. Initially unfazed, JoJo quips, “Getting pulled over by secret agents? This is a new one.” But things quickly take a serious turn as the supposed FBI agent informs her that someone named JoJo Siwa is under suspicion for wire fraud, bank fraud, and credit card fraud.
Unbeknownst to JoJo, her mother Jessalynn Siwa was in on the joke. When JoJo calls her mom in a panic to explain the situation, Jessalynn plays along perfectly. “I got pulled over by the FBI… apparently somebody is stealing my identity,” JoJo explains in disbelief. Meanwhile, Jessalynn assures her daughter she’s on her way to help, but behind the scenes, she reveals that JoJo is completely falling for the prank.
The tension rises as the fake FBI agents begin to suspect that JoJo herself is the criminal behind the fraud. Siwa’s confusion only deepens as she attempts to prove her innocence. However, the prank reaches its hilarious climax when Jessalynn reveals that JoJo had unknowingly sent her the “code word” — Beyoncé — signaling that she believed the prank was real.
The episode is part of the rebooted Punk You series, produced by Sophie Watts and entrepreneur Joe White, with help from Punk’d co-creator Jason Goldberg. JoJo joins a lineup of other pranked celebrities including streamers Jynxzi and Stretch, as well as artists Sexyy Red and NLE Choppa.
