Jack White doesn’t just play music—he throws verbal grenades into the mix, and his recent performance in Boston was no exception. During a scorching rendition of his 2018 track Corporation, White flipped the script, turning the song into a full-blown takedown of Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
His new opening line?
“I was thinking about becoming an oligarch, who’s with me?”
And it only got wilder from there.

Performing at Boston’s Roadrunner on Feb. 18 as part of his No Name Tour, White unleashed a freestyle roast session that could make a politician’s PR team sweat:
“I was thinking about taking government subsidies and starting my own electric car company. Who’s with me?” “I’m thinking about not being elected. Never holding a public office. Never serving one day of military service. But somehow having the authority to control parts of the U.S. Government.” “I’m thinking about not being properly vetted by the Supreme Court or Congress, just doing whatever the hell I want because some bloated, orange gorilla who’s failed at every business he’s ever run wants me to be his golf cart partner!”
Damn, Jack. Tell us how you really feel.
This isn’t White’s first rodeo when it comes to political shots fired. Back in 2016, The White Stripes sold “Icky Trump” merch, a twist on their song Icky Thump. In 2018, he tweaked the lyrics of the song to call out Trump by name. And when Trump won re-election in 2024, White went off on social media, calling the outcome “dumbfounding” and referring to Trump as a “known, obvious fascist.”
Jack White’s Global No Name Tour: What’s Next?
White’s world tour has taken him everywhere from Central America to Japan, but as of now, the Boston show is the only time he’s performed “Corporation” with these new lyrics.
The question is: Will he keep the anti-Trump/Musk version in rotation? If history tells us anything, White isn’t one to stay silent—so don’t be surprised if this becomes a setlist staple by the time he hits the U.K. and Europe later this year.
One thing’s for sure: Jack White is never gonna play nice with billionaires or bad haircuts.
