In an exciting announcement for rock fans, the iconic band Fleetwood Mac is poised to launch a live rendition of their acclaimed 1977 album, ‘Rumours’. This live recording titled ‘Rumours Live’ is slated for release on September 8, thanks to Rhino Records.
‘Rumours Live’ captures the electric atmosphere of Fleetwood Mac’s performance at the Forum in Los Angeles on August 29, 1977. This show, one of three the band played at the Forum, marked the culmination of their tour in support of ‘Rumours’, released earlier that year. The venue was packed with nearly 20,000 fans, creating an unforgettable moment in music history.
Ken Caillat, the engineer responsible for the original ‘Rumours’ recording, used a mobile recording truck from the Recording Plant – the very studio where much of ‘Rumours’ was birthed – to capture the live set.
As a taste of what’s to come, the band has already released a live recording of ‘Dreams’, one of their iconic tracks from the concert. Below is the full tracklist for ‘Rumours Live’.

This album marks the band’s first release following the unfortunate passing of band member Christine McVie in November at the age of 79, due to an ischemic stroke. Recent reports revealed that she left behind a £70 million fortune, the majority of which went to her brother John Perfect, his children, and a range of charities. McVie’s former manager Martin Wyatt and US businessman Paul Glass were listed as executors of her estate.
In response to the news of her death, Fleetwood Mac released a heartfelt statement praising McVie as “the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life”.
