Imagine being in one of the world’s greatest rock bands and at the very height of success the lead singer kills himself. That’s what happened to this month’s featured artist. Yet, like a Phoenix rising from the rock and roll ashes, Dave Grohl went on to prove that there was more than one genius in the band Nirvana. He reinvented himself as the lead singer of his own band, which is now known as the Foo Fighters.
Over the last few decades, they have grown into one of the biggest and best bands in the world. Just a few months ago, Mr. Grohl had to endure another major catastrophe with the death of his band’s drummer, Taylor Hawkins, which also happened at their apex.
There’s been an uneasy silence as we all hold our breath hoping that Dave will once again emerge from tragedy and once again provide us with great music. Winning fifteen Grammys and selling countless millions of albums, along with being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, there’s no doubt the Foo Fighters will be remembered as one of the most successful rock bands ever.
We hope this is more music to come from them soon. Like the rest of his adoring fans we know it’s going to be amazing.
