Pop legend Cyndi Lauper is set to say a grand goodbye to her fans with the announcement of her “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour.” This North American tour, her most significant in over ten years, will begin on October 18 at Montreal’s Bell Centre and conclude on December 5 at the United Center in Chicago. The tour will bring Lauper to major cities like New York, Boston, Nashville, Atlanta, and Houston, celebrating her illustrious career with fans across the continent.
The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature a lineup of special guests, details of which will be disclosed soon. Ticket presales are set to start on June 4, with general sales kicking off on June 7, available via Live Nation’s website.
Adding to the excitement, the launch of Lauper’s farewell tour coincides with the premiere of her biopic, “Let the Canary Sing” on Paramount+. Directed by Alison Ellwood, this feature-length film delves into Lauper’s expansive career, highlighted at last year’s Tribeca Festival.
Fans can also look forward to a companion album from Legacy Recordings. This album will feature a collection spanning her early days with Blue Angel to her hits like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night,” encapsulating the vibrant spirit she brought to the music industry.
