Front man Bob Geldof posted a wonderful tribute calling him “an old friend and great guitarist”
The band grew up as childhood friends and over the years have become Irish heroes.
With songs like “ I don’t like Mondays” and “ elephants graveyard” they quickly came to the forefront in the punk and alternative music world during the late 70s and early 80s.
