The iconic rock band, Blink-182, shook things up with a surprise mini-concert at a Denny’s in Long Beach, leaving fans both exhilarated and craving more than just pancakes. This unexpected performance came hot on the heels of their latest album release, “One More Time”.
When Mark Hoppus, the dynamic bassist, yelled out, “What the f–k is up, Denny’s?” with Travis Barker bringing down the house on the drums, fans were immediately transported to one of Blink’s epic festival performances. Tom DeLonge, recently reuniting with the band, delivered an impassioned rendition of “Anthem Part 3” from right amidst the crowd.
This electric Denny’s show may have been brief, but it evoked memories of a 2013 meme where another band had an unconventional performance at a Denny’s, echoing a similar sentiment.
On their Instagram, Blink-182 humorously hinted, “Touring stadiums, arenas, and perhaps more @dennysdiner in 2024.” Their teaser comes as the band prepares for a massive North American tour next year.
As an added treat for fans, the band recently enhanced their album, “One More Time”, by adding two Barker-produced tracks, “Cut Me Off” and “See You.” It’s been a significant release as it marks DeLonge’s return to the group after more than a decade.
Blink-182 has an exciting year ahead, with performances lined up across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America. Their tour is set to conclude with epic performances in Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow.
