Attack Attack! Is Back and They’re Bringing the Chaos (and Cowboy Hats)
The kings of crabcore have returned — and they didn’t just knock on the door, they kicked it off the hinges with a steel-toed boot and a bottle of genre-fluid rage. After a nearly 13-year silence, Attack Attack! is making noise again with two explosive new singles and the announcement of their first full-length album since 2012, Attack Attack! II, dropping August 8th.
Their re-entry into the scene hasn’t exactly been subtle. We’re talking cowboy hats, fake breakups, a fake genre switch to country (because why not?), and even a hotline where fans could preview a Will Ramos feature. It’s like a publicity campaign dreamed up by a caffeinated gremlin — and it worked.
The new singles? Absolute chaos in the best way. “Dance!” featuring the demonic pipes of Will Ramos from Lorna Shore is a genre-bending breakdown party, while “Chainless” follows up with equal parts destruction and groove. If this is what Attack Attack! 2.0 sounds like, we’re all in for one hell of a ride.
The band stormed Daytona International Speedway last weekend at Welcome to Rockville, where they lit up the stage as part of their Roadside Rumble Tour — a warm-up for what’s coming next. This fall, they’ll launch the One Hit Wonder Tour, headlining across the U.S. in support of Attack Attack! II.
And if you missed them in Daytona, don’t worry — you can still catch them at Louder Than Life Festival in September, where they’ll bring their chaotic energy to another massive crowd.
With collaborations from producers across multiple genres, this new record pushes their sonic boundaries while staying true to the blistering riffs and breakdowns we’ve loved since the “Stick Stickly” days. Whether you’re a crabcore veteran or new to the madness, this is the comeback you didn’t know you needed.
