Between December 30, 2022, and June 29, 2023, Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’ dominated the US charts. Released on March 3, 2023, through Big Loud/Mercury/Republic Records, the album secured 3.312 million equivalent album units in the first half of 2023. The album’s hit single “Last Night” accumulated 588.7 million on-demand audio streams, sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 13 nonconsecutive weeks from March to July.
In contrast, Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ led the charts in total on-demand streams, amassing 750.7 million clicks during the year’s first half. This track topped the Hot 100 for eight nonconsecutive weeks, marking Cyrus’ second chart-topping hit following 2013’s ‘Wrecking Ball.’
